This role is predominantly home-based with travel and visits to either our Macclesfield or London office bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be required to drive across the UK.
This is a great opportunity for a subject matter expert in Food Safety to join our Safety and Wellbeing team as a Safety Manager. You will act as an ambassador of safety, inspiring people across the business to uphold robust food safety & health and safety standards, performance, and culture.
We are looking for a Safety Manager who is passionate about doing the right thing and able to:
- Develop, influence, and drive food safety initiatives
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Challenge self and others to improve continuously
- Communicate food safety processes effectively
- Handle multiple projects and adapt quickly to new initiatives
- Have thorough knowledge of relevant food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in hospitality, food service, or similar high-risk sectors
- Robust incident reporting and investigation skills
- Experience with food safety and health & safety management systems and auditing
- Deliver food safety training
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of food safety management experience
- Recognised degree or equivalent in Food Safety
- L4 Food Safety qualification
- HACCP qualification
- Health and Safety qualification (desirable)
- Membership in a recognised professional body
- Formal leadership training (desirable)
