As a valued member of the team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of the Home Insurance strategy through accurately and efficiently implementing changes to the Radar rating algorithm.

Take ownership for building, maintaining, and monitoring the Radar Live rating engine so that it is compliant, accurate and efficient

Ensure comprehensive model testing is run / validated to prove out all change

Support in the enhancement ofprocesses, including testing to create efficiency whilst maintaining accuracy

Excellent spoken and written skillsso to support engagement with various stakeholdersand the wider Pricing & Underwriting community, to ensure alignment with approaches

Contributing to overall Department / DLG wideobjectives, strategies and priorities.

Be aware of Pricing & Underwriting Controls and Governance and abide by the controls in place

Identify and manage risks associated with the role, adhering to the company riskframework. Communicate any price, model, or data issues promptly.

Developing your own skills and knowledge such that you have the expertiserequired to achieve current and future business requirements.

Reinforce the culture and core values of Direct Line Group through appropriate behaviours and Actions

Support the Home Change Team’s Defect Management process. Aiding with diagnosis, deriving, testing and implementing any required fixes.

Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office

Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mathematics / Computer Science or a related degree or similar numerical subject

Familiarity with programming languages and software such as SQL, SAS Python, Tableau (preferred)

Experience in the Insurance industry (preferred)

Strong problem-solving skills & a keen eye for attention to detail

Excellent communication and ateam player

Good knowledge of IT principles and processes
