A leading water infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will manage all assigned commercial activities, minimizing project costs while maintaining required standards and quality. Located in North East England, this position offers a hybrid working model and a salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000, depending on experience, alongside generous benefits including a pension and 25 days holiday.
Our Water contractor client are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to join their Northumbrian Water framework with hybrid working out of offices in Durham.
Our client have been appointed to the Living Water Enterprise to help shape and deliver strategic infrastructure upgrade programme with contracts valued up to c.£670m over 15 years.
The Commercial function is accountable for the effective control of commercial risks, liabilities, exposures, and opportunities within all our trading relationships.
The role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor is to manage all assigned commercial activities within the project environment. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be involved with all aspects of the project lifecycle, seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money whilst achieving the required standards and quality in accordance with contract and Customer’s and / or Contract Leader expectations.
This role may work independently, managing a small commercial team or under the direction of and report to a more senior commercial designation.
