voco St David's Cardiff, a 5‑star hotel on Cardiff Bay, is looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will earn £13.50 per hour (equivalent to £28,080 per year) and work as part of a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment.
- Assist senior chefs in preparing, cooking and plating a variety of dishes for guests.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen area in line with health and safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team in inventory, storage and preparation of ingredients.
- Follow the hotel’s standard operating procedures, recipes and quality standards.
- Work as part of a wide hotel team, learning new techniques and supporting kitchen operations.
- Previous experience as a chef or an apprenticeship in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
- Willingness to learn, train and progress in a dynamic hotel environment.
- Passion for delivering high‑quality food and excellent guest service.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
