Afterwords Wine Bar is a food venue located at Chautauqua Institution. Patrons can enjoy hearty handhelds and shareable Mediterranean dishes, each thoughtfully paired with hand‑selected wines. The bar is open Sunday through Wednesday 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. during the summer season.
Base pay: $13.00 per hour plus tipped earnings. For staff scheduled to perform non‑tipped work for 20% or more of their shift, attend required events, or whose combined tipped income is below minimum wage each week, the minimum wage of $16.00 per hour applies.
Chautauqua Institution’s Referral Bonus Program offers a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees who refer a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90 days from the first physical date of work. For seasonal positions working less than 6 months, the new candidate must remain actively employed for at least 30 days from the first physical date of work and until the closing date of the season—the last Sunday in August.
Flexible schedules, full and part‑time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Typical eight‑hour shifts may start between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.
No employer‑provided housing is available for this position. Applicants should plan to secure independent housing or reside within a commutable distance.
