We require someone to teach Religious Studies in the Senior School, who will inspire girls and boys and who will set the highest standards throughout the age range.
The Department delivers a number of important areas of the curriculum, which brings a degree of flexibility for this appointment to suit the interests and experience of the successful candidate.
In Year 7 and Year 8, the Department teaches a very successful, bespoke PPE course to all pupils (Philosophy, Politics and Ethics) which gives them an excellent grounding.
From Year 9 to Year 11, pupils can then choose Religious Studies as a GCSE subject. At GCSE, pupils currently follow the Edexcel course in Religious Studies.
In the Sixth Form, students can then choose Philosophy A Level. At A Level, AQA Philosophy is offered.
The successful candidate will be an excellent and inspiring teacher. An ability to teach another subject is not essential, but could be an advantage.
This post commands an attractive remuneration package including some assistance with relocation if appropriate. ECTs are guided through induction under the auspices of the Independent Schools’ Induction Panel, which is fully recognised by The Department of Education. Hill House provides a Company Pension Scheme and Westfield Health cover.
