A leading healthcare provider in Wales is looking for a Radiology Porter at the University Hospital of Wales. The role includes transporting patients, moving furniture, and delivering supplies. Candidates must be well-presented and possess excellent communication skills. The job requires working Monday to Friday with some unsociable hours and provides a supportive working environment. This full-time permanent position offers a salary of £24,833 annually.
Our Radiology Porters provide an invaluable service transporting patients on beds, trolleys and wheelchairs around the hospital site. They are also involved with a wide range of other duties including moving furniture, delivering supplies, delivering of specimens to the laboratories and changing medical gases for example oxygen cylinders.
We currently have a vacancy for the role of a Radiology porter in University Hospital of Wales (UHW), in a busy Radiology department.
The vacancy is Monday to Friday (one Saturday every four weeks and Bank Holidays on a rolling Rota). The hours of work are 09:00 to 6pm and 11:30am to 8pm.
Saturday and Bank Holiday working attracts a 50% enhancement in addition to basic salary.
To succeed in this role you will need to be well presented, have excellent communication skills, be flexible and adaptable in your work and demonstrate a genuinely caring approach to others. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
