Job summary
A service provider in vehicle maintenance is seeking a Workshop Shift Manager to oversee daily operations at the Council's workshop. The role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and handling service budgets. Candidates should possess leadership and technical expertise along with necessary qualifications. This position offers a commitment to quality service delivery within community needs, and a salary of £19.32 per hour PAYE or £25.15 Limited/Umbrella.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Significant understanding of Road Transport Law is required.
- Experience in managing MOT testing and compliance under VOSA regulations is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Manage workshop operations, ensuring timely delivery of maintenance and repairs.
- Lead a team of approximately 14 operational staff.
- Oversee a service budget of £750k, ensuring efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with VOSA regulations and Health & Safety standards.
- Manage the Council’s MOT station and liaise with clients.
