We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Newmarket. This is a hands-on role where you will carry out maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment such as HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and generators.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.
- Perform planned preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and minimise downtime.
- Work with contractors on repairs, installations, and upgrades.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and equipment serviced.
- Ensure health and safety standards are always followed.
- Support projects such as equipment upgrades and system improvements.
- Provide guidance and technical support to colleagues when required.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (e.g., ONC, BTEC Level 3).
- Previous experience in a mechanical/electrical role, ideally in facilities management or estate maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Confident in diagnosing and resolving both mechanical and electrical issues.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
- £45,000 annual salary
