A prominent UK public service organization is seeking a Service Advisor to assist case officers in managing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. The role demands strong research and communication skills, along with the ability to effectively negotiate with senior officials. Responsibilities include logging new cases, conducting relevancy checks, and preparing case files. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work under pressure, with a supportive working environment that includes generous benefits and training opportunities.
The FOI Centre is responsible for overseeing FOI activity across the National Archives (TNA) and for handling FOI requests for access to information contained within closed archival records and our own corporate information. The Service Advisor will assist case officers in managing and coordinating FOI requests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and customer satisfaction.

Normal office environment with use of screen equipment. The role may involve handling distressing material through administrative processing of FOI requests. Some physical movement (up to 10 kg) may be required.
