Location: Midland Metro Ltd, Wednesbury Depot, Potters Lane, WS10 0AR
Salary: £38,650 - £42,888 per annum (inclusive of on-call allowance), Depending on Experience + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Permanent, Mon – Thu 07:00 – 15:00, Fri 07:00 – 14:00 – Flexible night working when required

- Ensuring inspection and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with the planned maintenance schedule
- Ensuring the work tasks follow the correct procedures
- Conducting maintenance and repairs to the West Midland Metro signalling and telecommunications equipment
- Oversight of contractors carrying out planned works on the signalling and telecommunications equipment
- Assisting in test and commissioning of new systems
- Switching of electrical substations
- Involvement may be necessary when external contractors are required to conduct any planned works
- Continuous assessment and improvement of working practices embracing new technologies
- Flexibility to respond to emergency situations and unplanned repairs outside of normal working hours
- On Call duties
- Night shift work to perform maintenance and repair work as may reasonably be required by MML management
- A good working knowledge and competence in electrical / mechanical systems
- Recognised Electrical Qualification at Level 3 or above
- Experience in the use of computer based diagnostic equipment
- Demonstrable computer literacy and writing skills
- The ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- A full driving license
- City and Guilds 18th Edition
- City and Guilds Inspection and Periodic Inspection
- Experience in fibre and data maintenance, repair and installation
