Responsibilities

  • Drive the acceptance process of materials in the laboratory.
  • Complete analysis of concentrations of chemical baths using titration.
  • Work safely with acids and other chemicals.
  • Conduct GC-MS and FTIR Analysis.
  • Perform DSC and DMA analysis.
  • Take swabs for cleanliness and biological assays.
  • Assist with R&D testing and method development.

We are currently looking for a Chemical Laboratory Assistant to support our world leading clients.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the chemist in the laboratory and drive the acceptance process of materials.
  • Completing analysis of concentrations of chemical baths using titration's
  • Safe working with acids and other chemicals
  • GC-MS Analysis
  • FTIR Analysis
  • DSC, DMA analysis
  • Taking swabs for cleanliness
  • Taking biological assays
  • Chemistry method development
  • Acid digestion of composites
  • Produce in house etchants
  • Assist in the batch acceptance work stream.
  • Assist with R&D testing and method development
  • Contribute to processes and risk assessments being up to date.
  • Working in a safe and tidy manner.
  • Attending a 15 minute meeting on Wednesday (SQCDP) to flag any safety, quality or delivery issues that could prevent work being delivered.
Qualifications
  • The candidate will be at Degree level in Chemistry.

  • Viscosity analysis
  • Assessing non-volatile residues
  • Using a rotary evaporator
  • Assisting in treatments bath monitoring process etc
