Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional with a passion for higher education to join UWE Bristol’s Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement (AQPE) team as a Student Administration Team Leader (End Point Assessment). AQPE provides university-wide support for the ongoing development and review of UWE Bristol’s educational portfolio across three interconnected areas of activity: curriculum, standards and accreditation, and collaborative provision.

This role is based within the standards and accreditation service area. We provide a professional service in the administration of Apprenticeship End Point Assessment and support the university’s role as an End Point Assessment Organisation. We ensure compliance with external government agencies such as the Department for Education, Ofsted, Skills England and the Office for Students.

We are a very friendly, lively, informed and dedicated team. New members are welcomed and made to feel at home from the outset.

About You

A team player with a “can do” attitude, you have broad-based experience in a professional or specialist service within a large complex organisation (such as a Higher Education Institution). You’re qualified to graduate level or with equivalent experience, and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and IT skills. You’re skilled in working independently to manage and prioritise a flexible portfolio and collaborating successfully with a wide range of stakeholders using your strong written and spoken communication skills.

You have experience of leading a team or supervising staff. You have experience in extracting, analysing and interpreting data, and are confident in presenting it appropriately to a range of audiences. Proactive and enthusiastic, you demonstrate a commitment to your own continuing professional development. You’ll thrive in a demanding yet rewarding environment and have the passion to make a real difference to the University and our students.

Where are these roles based?

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

We offer a wide range of employee benefits including progressive pay rates, generous annual leave and career average pension schemes as well as retail savings, onsite nursery and opportunities for training and personal development.
