A prominent healthcare group in the UK is looking for a Porter to ensure smooth hospital operations by moving patients, delivering meals, and managing medical equipment. Candidates should possess excellent communication, customer service experience, and an understanding of health and safety issues. The role involves working autonomously while following strict guidelines. The position emphasizes patient-focused service and effective multitasking within a team environment.
The role of a Porter is instrumental to the smooth running of the Hospital, you will move patients, deliver patient meals and manage safe movement of other medical equipment. Porters should have the ability to work quickly and calmly in emergencies, have good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise, be patient and tolerant, a good physical fitness and have the ability follow instructions and work to tight time constraints.
You will be responsible for supporting service improvements and encouraging the delivery of high productivity; supported by excellent customer care.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and under direction, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times. The ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
In this role you will be required to provide a customer focused Porter service.
