A leading NHS Trust in Manchester is seeking a Scheduler to join their patient-focused team. You will be responsible for managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate patient information is maintained. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion. This role requires proficiency with various healthcare systems, ensuring a seamless experience for patients while supporting the clinical research team.
The National Institute for Health (NIHR) Manchester Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an organised, patient-focused Scheduler to join our friendly administrative team. You will play an essential role in supporting the smooth running of the unit by welcoming and checking in research patients at reception, and booking and managing patient appointments (outpatient and inpatient) by working across multiple systems.
This is a busy and varied front-facing role. You will work closely with colleagues across the CRF and wider Trust to ensure patients receive a professional, efficient and compassionate service from the moment they arrive on the unit.
We are looking for someone who can communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure and manage their workload confidently. You will use several Trust systems daily, but full training will be provided.

We are also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years.
We run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with over 300 trials every year. Cancer research in Manchester, most of which is undertaken on the Christie site, has been officially ranked the best in the UK.
The NIHR CRF at the Christie is one of six units which together comprise the NIHR Manchester CRF. We provide the infrastructure for the delivery of early phase experimental and translational research in oncology including first-in-human trials.
These duties and responsibilities are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and staff may be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities consistent with the band.
