We are looking for a diligent and organised Finance Assistant to support our finance team with a range of accounting and administrative tasks. This role involves handling both accounts payable and receivable duties, assisting with month-end processes, and maintaining accurate financial records to support business operations.

• Process invoices for accounts payable and employee expenses accurately and promptly
• Manage purchase order requests
• Prepare weekly payment runs for purchase ledger accounts, with submission to internal banking systems
• Prepare sales statistics reports in collaboration with other departments to support business analysis
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register and post related journal entries
• Perform daily bank and credit card account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances
• Reconciliation of intercompany account ledgers
• Knowledge of selling to EU
• Assist with month-end reporting activities, including journal postings and account reconciliations
• Support VAT preparation and other statutory reporting as required
• Maintain accurate financial filing and documentation
• Provide general administrative support to other members of the finance team and undertake other ad-hoc duties as needed

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role or a finance (or related) qualification
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 300 or Sage Intacct
• Strong Excel skills, including data entry and basic analysis
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments
