Accounts Assistant Nottinghamshire £29,000 to £34,000 Study Support Hybrid Working

We are working with a growing and dynamic business in Nottinghamshire to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their finance career offering variety, progression, and a voice in the team.

This is more than just processing invoices. It is a role for someone with drive and initiative, who wants to get stuck into all areas of transactional finance and play a hands‑on part in keeping the department running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Allocating payments and coding invoices (AP)
  • Posting remittances and reconciling receipts (AR)
  • Maintaining the cash book and Excel payment logs
  • Cleaning up ledgers and chasing suppliers
  • Taking ownership of month‑end housekeeping tasks
  • Supporting wider accounts duties, depending on your experience
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or transactional finance role
  • Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t wait to be told what to do
  • A team player who is also confident working independently
  • Strong Excel skills and general IT confidence (bonus points for pivot tables!)
  • Driven to develop and learn study support is on offer!
