Job summary
A local council organization is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations in Cowdenbeath schools for 20 hours weekly. The ideal candidate will possess the Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate and have supervisory experience. The role includes managing staff, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and providing training. - Cleaning Supervisor - 20 hours per week Monday to Friday - as required between 3:00am to 8:00pm, 40 weeks per year.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 to £25,855.80 pro‑rate and have access to a range of benefits, including:
- £13.79 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is 4 weekly and annualised for 40 week contracts.

This work is about ensuring staff and clients can return to a clean and safe environment every school. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference.
The post will also require supervising staff, providing training and guidance, and following HR procedures to the appropriate level.
You should hold The Cleaning Operatives Efficiency Certificate or equivalent and have some supervisory experience.
You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
