People Solutions is currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in the Kidderminster area.

Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Delivering building materials and home interior products (excluding bathrooms and kitchens)
• Operating and driving various 7.5 tonne vehicles safely to and from delivery locations
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance needs
• Assisting with loading and unloading cargo as needed

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need to:

• Work well as part of a team
• Have at least 24 months of continuous experience driving Category C1 vehicles
• Have no more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsements
• Be able to use a PDA (personal digital assistant)
• Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence, UK CPC Card, and UK Digi Card
• Speak and read English proficiently
• Demonstrate excellent punctuality and time management skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Possess effective communication skills
• Experience driving commercial vehicles is beneficial
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous

• A six-hour online training must be completed before attending the assessment
• A driver's assessment will need to be completed
• Post-assessment, on-the-job training will be provided
• Ongoing industry-related training and support are available
