Job Overview

Morson Edge are currently seeking a GFE Stores Operative to work on behalf of one of our reputable defence clients based in Winfrith Newburgh. The GFE Stores Operative will assist in the Management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) on behalf of the customer.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensuring GFE process, procedures and reporting are adhered to.
  • Ensure MOD forms are completed in line with the MOD GFE process.
  • Assist in Management and tracking of GFE issued by the Customer.
  • Assist in the receipt, storage and issuing of GFE to internal stakeholders and external bodies.
  • Assist in ensuring the MOD GFE register, and MOD forms are completed and up to date.
  • Appreciation of MOD GFE processes.
  • Assist in the collation and submission of MOD GFE reports in line with MOD reporting requirements.
  • Assist in performing audits on internal departments and projects that are responsible for GFE.
  • Work with the stores team to ensure GFE is correctly identified on arrival and correctly stored, moved and disposed of.
  • Complete stores activities as directed including stock takes, picking, dispatch and receipt.
  • Assist in the movement of goods around the site.
  • Provide support to stores team as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – IT capable.
  • Able to prioritise workload and manage conflicting demands.
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience of working in a stores environment.
  • MRP/ ERP experience desirable but not essential.
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve full SC (Security Clearance).
