Despatch & Yard Operator | HGV Loading, Reimbursed Mileage
- Pay: £35,100 per annum
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 5:00pm
- Duration: Permanent
As a Despatch Operative, you will be responsible for towing vehicles, loading HGV trucks, strapping and securing goods, driving a tractor, and moving equipment around the yard. You’ll also use hoists and other lifting equipment and ensure that all transport arriving on site is safely and effectively loaded in a timely manner. Travel to various sites is required, and mileage will be reimbursed.
- Experience driving machines, moving equipment or small ground‑care tractors
- Experience of reversing trailers
- Own transport
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Counterbalance FLT Licence

As a Despatch Operative, you will support the efficient running of the Despatch Department by preparing and shipping all UK and Export orders accurately, safely, and on time. You'll liaise with logistics providers and internal teams, handle documentation, pack products to regulatory standards, and carry out stock counts using SAP. The role involves working in a GMP-regulated environment and requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment
- SAP experience
- Valid FLT licence
- Logistics-related qualifications
- Excellent working conditions
