A leading talent acquisition firm based in Warwick is seeking an experienced transport planner to optimize national haulage networks and ensure compliance with UK/EU regulations. Candidates should possess strong decision-making skills, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have experience in transport planning. The role involves ensuring adherence to driver regulations and tailoring transport plans to regional needs.
Qualificações
- Experience in transport planning necessary.
- Background in general haulage highly advantageous.
Responsabilidades
- Plan efficient routes and driver schedules using TMS.
- Tailor daily transport plan to regional need.
- Monitor adherence to UK/EU rules on driver working hours.
- Record issues across the operation.
Conhecimentos
- Plan efficient routes and driver schedules using TMS to optimise national haulage network
- Tailoring daily transport plan to regional need and operational variances
- Observe and monitor adherence to UK/EU rules on driver working hours, breaks, and tachograph usage.
- Utilise network resource as needed across the network
- Record issues across the operation and flag to appropriate senior leadership
- Utilise subcontractors and other external resource as necessary
- Strong decision-making and commercial judgment in time‑sensitive, peak‑demand environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with planning systems/TMS
- Familiar with industry legislation (VOSA)
- Experience in transport planning is necessary with a background in general haulage being highly advantageous
