Job summary
A logistics company in Accrington is seeking a 7.5tn Driver to deliver beds and mattresses. The role involves customer interaction and heavy lifting, demanding physical fitness. Candidates must have a valid 7.5tn licence for 2 years and good driving record. This position offers a guaranteed 8-hour workday with potential for longer hours based on delivery needs.
Qualifications
- Must have held a 7.5tn licence for at least 2 years.
- 180 days experience driving a 7.5tn vehicle required.
- Valid in-date CPC is necessary.
- No more than 6 points on driving licence.
- No more than 3 Tacho infringements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver beds and mattresses to customers' homes.
- Assist with building beds upon delivery.
- Ensure security of the load during transport.
Skills
Are you a 7.5tn Driver looking for excellent rates of pay? We have the role for you! Immediate Start. The working day starts at 6am, standard 8 hour day guaranteed, with runs/days running longer dependant on delivery locations. Our client is a much-loved brand, and due to an increase in demand, we are looking for 7.5tn Drivers to support their busy operation based in Accrington, delivering all over the North /North-West.
You will be responsible for delivering beds and mattresses, carrying into customers homes and supporting with bed building. As a 7.5tn Driver, you will be an integral part of the business, spending a lot of time working a team of 2 or 3 on the road. We are looking for drivers with a 'can-do & friendly' attitude as interaction with our customers is all part of the service. You will be responsible for maintaining the security of the load and the condition of the vehicle.
This is a physically demanding role, with heavy loads in and out of properties, so being fit and well is a must.
- All candidates must have held their 7.5tn licence for 2 years
- 180 days experience in 7.5tn vehicle.
- Valid in-date CPC
- No more than 6 points on licence (licence checks will apply)
- No more than 3 Tacho infringements.
