Job summary
A leading healthcare organization in the UK seeks a professional to support the Information Governance Compliance Manager. Responsibilities include processing information requests for patient records under the Data Protection Act and providing governance advice. The role involves flexible working hours and career progression opportunities within Information Governance. Located at Maudsley Hospital in London, the position also offers training and development pathways.
Responsibilities
- Process Subject Access requests within statutory timeframes.
- Provide Information Governance advice to staff, patients, and the public.
- Support the FoI Committee by organising meetings and taking minutes.
- Ensure the IG Office operates with ethical standards of confidentiality.
- Monitor the Data Protection mailbox.
- Provide cover for the Corporate IG Officer role.
- Maintain relevant intranet pages for the IG Team.
- Support the information governance action plan.
- Deputise for the Information Governance Assurance Manager.
The key purpose of the role is to support the IG Compliance Manager by processing information requests for confidential patient information and health records under the Data Protection Act.

- Ensure the IG Office operates to the highest ethical standards of confidentiality.
- Support the IG Compliance Manager to monitor the Data Protection mailbox.
- Provide cover for the Corporate IG Officer role.
- Maintain relevant intranet pages on behalf of the Information Governance Team.
- Support the information governance action plan.
- Deputise for the Information Governance Assurance Manager as required.
Career pathways available to advance to senior manager roles within Information Governance and other specialties, alongside ongoing training and development through BCS membership.
Work Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm, with flexible arrangements available.
Maudsley Hospital (headquarters) – Denmark Hill, Zone 2.
Close to Denmark Hill train station, Ruskin Park and local high street.
