About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated School Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. As the lead support professional, you will play a strategic role in ensuring the effective management of the school's financial, administrative, and operational functions, helping us deliver our educational vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Budget planning and monitoring for the school, nursery, breakfast and after‑school clubs.
  • Staff Leadership: Line management of the admin team, site manager, and cleaners; liaison with lunchtime and extended day managers.
  • HR and Compliance: Oversee recruitment, appraisals, staff development, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and safer recruitment practices.
  • Health & Safety and Premises: Ensure the school premises are safe, well‑maintained, and compliant with statutory requirements.
  • ICT and Data Management: Lead on data protection, ICT systems, and communication strategies.
  • Governance and Reporting: Attend Governing Body meetings and prepare reports for external bodies including the LA and DfE.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong ICT and administrative skills
  • Experience in a senior public‑sector or similar role
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, teams, and compliance requirements
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • Desirable: AAT qualification or Certificate of School Business Management
  • First Aid knowledge
  • Fluent spoken English (as required for customer‑facing roles)
