A prominent arts charity in the UK is seeking a Creative Writing & Spoken Word Officer. This role involves championing written entries for the Koestler Awards and driving outreach initiatives that engage new audiences in poetry and writing. Koestler Arts is an arts charity that works with every prison in the UK. We are looking for a Creative Writing & Spoken Word Officer who'll bring their expertise to our team to champion the many written entries to the Koestler Awards. The post-holder will help drive forward writing-focused outreach work, judging, feedback, partnerships and showcasing.
The charity receives thousands of entries to its annual Koestler Awards for people in the criminal justice system, across poetry, poetry collection, spoken word, stage play, fiction and more. Each piece receives a tailored response. Koestler Arts exhibitions and events feature hundreds of pieces of creative writing and spoken word that engage audiences across the UK. This new post will build on this work, leaving a lasting legacy and enhancing our impact.
