The Technical CRMR Manager is a multifaceted leadership role responsible for overseeing the technical operations and output of the Cybersecurity Risk Management and Reporting (CRMR) team. This includes providing expert technical guidance, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of reporting / data extraction services, and managing projects effectively to meet stakeholder or business needs.

The Technical CRMR Manager fosters a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team, while also staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team of technical professionals. Additionally, the Technical CRMR Manager builds strong relationships with stakeholders, communicates effectively, and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance service delivery and team performance.

  • Serve as the technical expert for the service, providing guidance and support to the team on complex technical issues related to data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), scripting languages (e.g. Python), Databases (e.g. Azure SQL), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure and Google Cloud) & SIEM (e.g. Splunk) systems.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the technical delivery process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry best practices. Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technical solutions to address complex CRMR challenges.
  • Champion data governance best practices within the team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and appropriate handling of sensitive information in alignment with Deloitte policies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of cybersecurity controls and their practical application in safeguarding Deloitte systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the wider CRMR team, to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Provide support for risk reporting and dashboarding activities to ensure comprehensive project oversight.
  • Proactively monitor workload distribution to prevent overburdening and promote a balanced allocation of tasks across the team.
  • Effectively prioritize competing project demands and resource constraints to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor progress of technical deliverables, identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues promptly.
  • Implement appropriate methodologies (e.g. waterfall / agile) and best practices to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of technical deliverables that align with stakeholder requirements.
  • Oversee and drive the end-to-end delivery of technical deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines. This includes designing and implementing robust testing protocols, securing stakeholder approvals at key milestones, and fostering a culture of accountability within the team to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the technical reporting service (CSMA), instilling a culture of precision and quality to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reports/data extracts to clients or stakeholders on the first attempt.
  • Define and implement service level agreements (SLAs) for the reporting service, emphasizing first-time accuracy and completeness.
  • Rigorously monitor performance against these metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize errors and rework.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for all reporting processes, procedures, and systems. This documentation should serve as a vital resource to enable consistent, error-free work and support the team in delivering accurate outputs from the outset.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements to maximize efficiency, productivity, and the delivery of outputs. Proactively identify and implement tools and technologies that streamline operations, optimize performance, and minimize the potential for errors.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to process improvement, leveraging metrics and feedback to inform decision-making.
  • Empower individuals to not only identify challenges and areas for enhancement but to also take ownership by proposing and implementing innovative solutions that strengthen processes and minimize defects.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to integrate work efforts, share best practices and insights, and elevate the profile and understanding of the CRMR team's capabilities to achieve shared objectives.
  • Manage the team's budget effectively (as needed), making strategic resource allocation decisions that maximize output, efficiency, and alignment with organizational priorities.
