Advance your career in Care!

We have a fantastic Registered Care Manager (RCM) opportunity within our service in Exeter. This is a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week. We are offering a salary of £38,895 per annum. Hours are worked flexibly to meet the needs of those we support, their team and the service. Please call the Hiring Manager Rachael Robb (07557026913) to discuss hours.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the management team who enjoys a fast‑paced environment. As a Registered Care Manager, you will be managing a large staff team comprising a Deputy Manager, Team Leaders and Support Workers.

There are two flats in one building located in Exeter City Centre (Flat 1 and Flat 2). Each flat accommodates four residents, all adults with a Learning Disability and a single or dual sensory impairment. Sense supports 8 adults with a single or dual sensory impairment; all have a Learning Disability and two individuals have significant physical disabilities.

This opportunity has become available due to the promotion of the current RCM. The role is ideal for any potential applicant looking for a new and exciting diverse RCM role and for developing their career further. Sense offers a wide range of support to enable you to progress. Ideally the successful candidate would be able to join us in July 2025 to allow a handover with the current RCM, though an August 2025 start date is also acceptable with a full induction by the Operations Manager.

Sense supports the residents in developing new skills and increasing their independence. They enjoy friendships and relationships outside the service and participate in clubs and groups such as attending Exeter City football games, gym, sensory tennis, athletics, theatre, and holidays. Local attractions include Exeter Quay and various nature walks.

As RCM you will continue to facilitate opportunities for the residents to be active members of their local community. You will listen to what people we support want, coach the team and ensure Sense continues to help them reach their goals and aspirations. Maintaining positive relationships with families, circles of support, and multi‑disciplinary teams is essential. This role offers the opportunity to build a strong staff team while embedding person‑centred support to achieve the best outcomes for our residents and the team as a whole.

The RCM at Andlaw House will be rewarding and present challenges. The diversity of the service will build your skill, knowledge and experience for any manager, providing a wealth of learning, variety and job satisfaction.
