Job Title: Senior Full Stack Systems Developer (Environment)

Location: Based near Hemel Hempstead

Salary: £80,000 - £85,000

This is a phenomenal opportunity to join my client, a green-minded, innovative Technology Company renowned for providing intelligent technological solutions to the environmental sector. They are currently on the lookout for a passionate, capable Senior Full Stack Systems Developer with knowledge of, and an evident passion for, the environment. You will take the lead in developing the future of the product, and must be keen to take on a variety of challenging projects whilst leading an already-established team of professionals, based near the modern, characterful town of Hemel Hempstead.

• Managing an already-established team of professional software developers
• Overseeing the production, deployment, and continued development of the company's core product across the environmental sector, focusing on strategy and business development
• Ensuring the continued maintenance of the company's core products and services, to the highest of standards
• Taking responsibility for the long‑term quality and security of the Source Code

• A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Data Science, Advanced Computer Science, or a similar, relevant field
• Extensive experience of working in a Full Stack Developer role
• Experience of developing software products for use in the environmental sector
• Considerable experience of overseeing the Full Software System Lifecycle of a product, demonstrating your commitment to extensive development and improvement
• Demonstrable experience in the use of Java Middleware, API, Docker, and MQ systems
• Good working knowledge of performance and security in Enterprise Systems
• Experience of working with networks: LAN & WAN/Internet and Security
• Prior experience of Database Access Design and Application Optimisation
• Demonstrable experience of working with Human Computer Interaction (HCI) in Software Systems, including Machine‑to‑Machine Automation Technologies
• Keen proficiency in Software System Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment Strategies for High Availability

• Experience of developing software products for use within a Water/Hydrological Environment (e.g. flood risk and mitigation, water quality, etc.)
• Prior experience with Deep Learning Neural Network Platforms
• Previous experience with Enterprise Linux Platforms
• Experience of leading/mentoring a team of developers
