This Quality Engineer will report to the Quality and Assurance Manager and will work within Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality with UKPN Services based in our Heathrow Airport office. You will be a permanent employee. You will provide competent quality management advice to promote compliance to ISO 9001:2015 in the review, audit, certification, induction and management of procedures and processes in electrical infrastructure construction projects. Experience working under UK CDM (2015) regulations is a pre-requisite. Applicants with Inspection/Quality Control backgrounds will not be considered. 1. Provide Quality Management advice about ISO 9001:2015 to other advisors, managers, employees, contractors and clients. Aim to maintain UK Power Networks Services' quality management system to ensure it can design, build, finance, operate and maintain primary electrical infrastructure at Heathrow Airport. 2. Contribute to the review of existing and the development of new procedures/processes. Procedures include those from central UK Power Networks group and those which are UK Power Networks Services' project/contract specific. There will also be involvement in the communication, implementation and monitoring within the team based at Heathrow Airport. 3. Monitor compliance with ISO 9001:2015, procedures, legal and moral obligations, and national, international and client standards. Plan project audits against agreed level 2, 3 and 4 schedules. Will undertake quality management system audits, produce audit reports and ensure findings are resolved promptly. 4. Support the Client Delivery Manager and provide assistance and offer guidance to Project Managers in reviewing quality related project documents and requirements. Develop appropriate quality management system inductions, training and communication materials for the project team and subcontractors. Gather lessons learnt and maintain the project cost of poor quality process. Provide Project Managers with quality related updates for inclusion in monthly reports. Support any quality management system incident investigations. 5. Provide a monitoring function to ensure that suppliers, subcontractors and the services they provide exceed our quality management system expectations. This may include conducting external audits and undertaking random performance inspections of field teams to identify issues requiring improvement and highlighting good performance. 6. Monitor site certification of materials and equipment, including tool calibration, to ensure compliance with client and project requirements. To maintain associated project records to compile final data book and Health and Safety file documentation. 7. Facilitate third-party audits of UK Power Networks Services by external certification bodies. Champion quality management system processes in the business to ensure certification requirements are maintained. 8. Be a point of reference for the ISO 44001 Collaborative Working relationship with Heathrow Airport Limited and support the project team in the maintenance of the certification and working relationship. 9. Must be able to demonstrate time spent working in the UK construction industry under the UK CDM (2015) regulations and be able to support the Client Delivery Manager and project team in applying CDM (2015) requirements. You will work with the management team at Heathrow Airport and act as the local Quality representative at operational/project level with external partners.

• HNC (minimum requirement) qualification in a discipline such as Quality Management, Construction, Project Management or Technical/Engineering or equivalent.
• As a minimum be a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute with an aspiration to gain Chartered status, which we will support;
• Have quality management system experience gained in the construction industry working under UK CDM (2015) requirements (manufacturing/production line-based or other experience will not be suitable including QC/Inspection roles);
• Be a trained QMS Auditor/Internal QMS Auditor with experience auditing to ISO 9001:2015;
• Have experience of root cause analysis;
• Be able to attain client airport access passes and licences that may be required to work within Heathrow airport;
• Hold a valid full clean UK driving licence;

• Flexibility with your approach to work and prioritise as directed by the Client Delivery Manager, Project Manager and Quality and Assurance Manager on projects undertaken at Heathrow airport;
• Audit to ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 requirements would be desirable;
• Knowledge of ISO 55001:2014, ISO 44001:2017, ISO 19650-1:2018, ISO 19650-2:2018, ISO 19650-3:2020 and ISO 19650-5:2020 would be advantageous;
• Be a team player and with other staff and clients within the business;
• Communicate at all seniority levels;
• Can work with IT software packages such as Microsoft office;

You will attract a salary of £54,166 and a bonus of 3%. We are looking for a candidate who has UK CDM (2015) construction environment experience with Quality Assurance (Note: Candidates with Inspection/Quality Control experience will not be considered). Close Date: 06/01/2026.
