An academic research institution is seeking an enthusiastic research student for a fully funded PhD focused on exploring Social Infrastructure in Staveley. The ideal candidate should have an interdisciplinary background in public and social policy, geography, or social sciences. Knowledge of mixed-methods research is preferred. The deadline for applications is October 10th.
Qualifications
- Experience or commitment to undertake mixed-methods, interdisciplinary research.
- Knowledge of visual, mapping and participatory action research would be an advantage.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic research student to undertake a fully funded PhD on exploring, mapping and fostering Social Infrastructure. The study will focus on the town of Staveley (Chesterfield) as a case study. The deadline for applications is October 10th.
- We would welcome applications from candidates from a range of disciplinary areas and expertises, including:
- Public and Social Policy
- Human, Social and Economic Geography
- Planning, Architecture
- Social Sciences (Social Capital and Social Infrastructure theory; Social Network Analysis)
Experience or commitment to undertake mixed-methods, interdisciplinary research and knowledge of visual, mapping and participatory action research would be an advantage.
