Functional Skills Tutor
Job summary
An education recruitment agency seeks a Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor to deliver personalized tuition. The role involves adapting teaching methods for students with SEN needs and creating engaging lesson plans. Candidates should have at least one year of tutoring experience and have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check. Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and English.
- Experience working with SEN students.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

- Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs.
- Develop and implement personalised lesson plans addressing individual learning gaps.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.

- Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students build confidence in Maths and English.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and English.
- Experience working with SEN students.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
- PGCE and/or QTS is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learner needs.
