Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proficient Client Reviewer to undertake periodic client reviews for Jersey clients. The role involves evaluating Trust Company Business, Investment Business, and Fund Services Business. This position is full-time and reports directly to the Team Leader of the Client Review Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the quality of service provided to clients. By conducting thorough reviews and providing insightful guidance, you will help mitigate risk and support the business in maintaining its high standards of excellence. Job Duties:

  • Undertake periodic reviews for new and existing client entities.
  • Ensure that review findings are concise, accurate, and correctly recorded.
  • Update the Review Tracker in a timely manner upon completion of each review, adding any relevant comments which may affect timing or completion.
  • Conduct risk screening and Google searches.
  • Provide advice and guidance on necessary actions to achieve regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and enhance controls addressing issues from periodic reviews.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of control documents, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of key risks, legal, regulatory, and AML obligations applicable to business operations and their impacts on the business.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the business' Risk Appetite Statement.
  • Encourage a culture of compliance by building strong relationships within the business.
  • Develop knowledge in others through the delivery of regulatory and controls training and feedback.
  • Demonstrate effective communication to cascade objectives, initiatives, and information to team members.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience working in a similar support role.
  • Proven track record within the offshore financial services industry with experience in the administration of funds, trusts, and company structures.
  • A thorough understanding of Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism, and Proliferation Financing legislation, along with relevant codes of practice and regulatory guidance.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of financial services legislation, including company and trust law.
  • A strong understanding of operational processes and business practices within a financial services business.
  • Familiarity with NavOne is an advantage, although training will be provided.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on one\'s initiative.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly.
  • Capability to understand complex structures requiring legislation and policy interpretation.
  • Ability to positively investigate and challenge issues in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and credibility with the business.
