Overview

Female Support Worker

Location: Peel House Melksham (Please be aware if you live outside Melksham you will require transport as public transport is not available to get you to shifts on time)

Pay rate starting from: £12.34ph

Typical shifts: 7am-14:00 and 14:00-21:00 on a rota basis Monday - Sunday

Responsibilities
  • Help people to gain more independence in their daily lives.
  • Teach them new life skills and assist with personal care.
  • Encourage them to access their local communities and socialise.
  • Work with a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people, including outings to local bars and pubs, and activities such as games or cinema visits.
  • Contribute to helping someone meet their goals and grow in confidence and independence.
What we’re looking for
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
  • Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
