Bring your skills to the mix as a PrincipalHydraulic Structures Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of civil engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of water engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. We continue to provide industry-leading water engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom office.
Your Purpose:
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
- Chartered Civil Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Sound knowledge in designof gates, sluices and other hydraulic structures for dams, reservoirs and flood control.
- Familiarity with access and accessibility, construction logistics, and with current UK design standards and working practices.
- Proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance.
