A boutique hotel group in Edinburgh seeks a Night Porter to oversee hotel operations from sundown to sunrise. The role requires maintaining high standards and providing a welcoming environment for guests. Ideal candidates will have night-shift experience and excellent communication skills. The first Malmaison opened its doors in 1994 in a former sailor’s retreat on the old docks of Leith. Located on the bustling waterfront, the hotel sits amid independent shops, stylish bars, cutting‑edge restaurants and the historic Royal Yacht Britannia. Leith is a vibrant part of the city, just 15 minutes from the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, offering the cool coastal district ambience.
Role: Night Porter at Malmaison Edinburgh Leith
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise, ensuring high standards and a welcoming environment for guests during the night.
We operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Shifts and days are flexible, with the busiest periods during evenings and weekends. Shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview.
Successful candidates can progress to Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.
