Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef de Partie to join our team working at HMS Caledonia, Hilton Road, Rosyth, Fife, KY11 2XH. This is a Naval base which incorporates Naval command for Scotland and Northern Ireland, housing 300 plus personnel, Officers Senior rates and Junior rates and also the Band of the Royal Marines.

You will be responsible for working collaboratively with the teams regarding food production management to ensure minimal wastage, maintenance of food levels, food quality, and brand standards. Following company recipes and cooking various nutritious meals for 250 Navy personnel, this will include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in the Junior rates Mess and the Officers Mess.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

  • This is a permanent full-time position, 37.5 hours/week. Working on a 4-week rota, earliest start 06.00 and latest finish 20.30 which shall include weekends.

A day in the life of a Chef de Partie:
  • Reporting to the Sous Chef, working with the teams regarding food production management to ensure minimal wastage, maintenance of food levels, food quality, and brand standards.
  • Preparing food for military dining facilities and hospitality events.
  • Assisting the Sous Chef with post-analysis and ensuring all shift opening and closing checklists are completed.
  • Learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
  • Undertaking relevant training as required.
You will be set up for success if you have:
  • Relevant culinary qualification.
  • Previous experience in a Food Production role cooking for high volume numbers, within Catering or Retail.
  • Certificate in food safety.
  • Excellent team player and communicator; Proficient level of spoken English.
  • The ability to maintain a variety of operating and general records through daily activities.
  • DBS and security checks required.
