A well-established multi-disciplinary contractor is seeking an experienced Designer / CAD Technician to focus on façade design, detailing cladding and curtain wall systems. Based near Dartford, this role offers a supportive environment while working on complex construction projects. Responsibilities include developing detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with UK regulations, and collaborating with project teams. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with Revit being advantageous. This is a pivotal role in transforming architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of façade projects, the company is seeking an experienced Designer / CAD Technician to join their specialist team.
This role will focus on the design and detailing of façade systems including cladding, curtain walling and associated architectural elements.
You’ll play a key role in translating architectural concepts into fully coordinated, construction‑ready technical drawings.
- Develop detailed design and fabrication drawings for façades, cladding and glazing systems
- Work across RIBA Stages 3–5
- Ensure all designs comply with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) standards and relevant codes
- Produce accurate elevation plans, section details and layout drawings using AutoCAD and/ or Revit
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to resolve design challenges
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical compatibility and cost efficiency
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to value engineering initiatives
- Proven experience in façade design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit or other BIM tools is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations and façade system performance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
