A prestigious organisation in Filton is seeking an experienced Contract Buyer to join their dynamic procurement team. This role offers the chance to play a key role in ensuring the seamless supply of materials and services essential to the organisation’s manufacturing and engineering operations.

In this pivotal position, you will manage the procurement process from end to end - placing orders, evaluating suppliers, and conducting quality and efficiency reviews. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of operations and the company’s overall success.

• Place purchase orders for materials and services in line with operational requirements
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and ensure compliance with standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with strategic goals
• Utilise Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to manage procurement and inventory
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support manufacturing and engineering schedules

• Proven experience working with MRP systems
• Strong background in manufacturing or engineering industries
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills for effective liaison with suppliers and internal stakeholders
