A leading utilities business in the North West is seeking an IT Procurement Manager to oversee procurement for IT goods and services. You will work closely with the Category Manager to implement strategies and ensure compliance. Qualifications

Job description

Procurement people are currently working with a leading utilities business who are looking for an IT Procurement Manager.

The role will support the end-to-end delivery of procurement activity across a range of goods and services specific to the IT Category. Working closely with the Category Manager, they will help to shape and implement category strategies, run compliant tendering processes and manage supplier negotiations to ensure value for money.

This is a varied and collaborative role that will see them working closely with teams across the business to understand their needs, influence specifications and ensure strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as a point of contact for procurement guidance and best practice
  • Delivering compliant procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, renewals and negotiations
  • Supporting the development of category strategies across key spend areas
  • Influencing stakeholders across the business to deliver best-value outcomes
  • Helping to ensure that all procurement activity meets internal controls and legal requirements
Qualifications
  • Experience in managing tenders and procurement activity in a regulated or complex organisation
  • A strong grasp of procurement regulations and compliance
  • Confidence in engaging and influencing internal stakeholders
  • Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards it
  • A full UK driving licence

The role can be based in one of multiple locations across the North West. The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week on site.
