Job summary
A top engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Technician to join their Design team in the United Kingdom. The role involves producing and checking coordinated building structures drawings and visiting sites for inspections. Candidates should have a degree in a construction-related field or equivalent, along with extensive experience using REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. The position offers a salary range of £49,000 – £53,000 per year along with various benefits. This is an opportunity to be part of innovative projects in the construction sector.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience using REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD software to produce building structures models and drawings compliant with regulations.
- Degree in construction related or equivalent qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Producing and checking coordinated building structures drawings.
- Checking and coordinating structural design information with technical disciplines.
- Visiting sites to carry out surveys and inspections.

Education
We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Speke, Liverpool or Wymondham. Kier Design are a top‑25 engineering consultancy, delivering a wide range of services across all sectors of the built environment, providing construction‑focused, innovative and sustainable solutions. We have preferential access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline, including mega projects like High Speed 2 and Hinkley Point C, frameworks with national and local government and other public bodies, and a range of other interesting projects in every sector of the built environment.
Location: Speke, Liverpool or Wymondham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £49,000 – £53,000 per year + benefits

- Producing and checking coordinated building structures drawings, design models, schedules, and specifications within a quality assurance environment
- Checking and coordinating structural design information with other technical disciplines
- Visiting sites to carry out surveys and inspections

<>A degree in a construction related discipline, or HNC / BTEC or equivalent qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering, building or construction
- Extensive experience using REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD software to produce building structures models and drawings compliant with CDM Regulations and British and European standards
- Working knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to European/British standards
