Job summary

A family-run joinery company in Greater London is looking for an experienced Joinery CAD Draughtsperson to join their team. The role involves converting customer specifications into detailed production drawings using AutoCAD, assisting with the management of a library of designs, and liaising with clients and contractors. Candidates should have proficiency in AutoCAD, a background in bespoke joinery, and a solid understanding of the manufacturing process. This is a permanent position offering long-term job security.

Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, with experience producing 2D and ideally 3D models.
  • Experience in bespoke joinery, particularly with doors, staircases, or furniture.
  • Solid understanding of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Convert customer specifications into detailed production drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings and cutting lists.
  • Liaise with clients and external contractors.
  • Support on-site management with R&D of products and designs.
  • Assist with managing an existing library of details.
  • Communicate with other departments.

Joinery CAD Draughtsperson required

Our client has designed and manufactured beautiful bespoke joinery for over 25 years for prestigious developments and private clients in and around London and the South East of England, using both traditional techniques and state of the art technologies.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Joinery CAD draughtsperson who will perform a variety of design/drafting activities. Based on site in Mayfair, the project involves the fit out of 2 luxury town houses incorporating bespoke joinery installation.

Responsibilities
  • Converting customer specification into detailed productions drawings (AutoCAD)
  • Production of manufacturing drawing / cutting lists
  • Liaising with clients and external contractors.
  • Supporting on site management team with Research and Development of products and designs.
  • Assistance with the management of an existing and growing standard library of details.
  • Communication with other departments.
Qualifications

The successful CAD Draughtsperson will have proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, producing 2D and ideally 3D models.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ideally a Joinery background in bespoke Door sets, Staircases or Furniture.
  • The CAD Draughtsperson will be expected to have a solid understanding of the manufacturing process
