A leading conservation charity is seeking a dynamic Field Officer for a seasonal position at Titchwell Marsh. The role involves monitoring breeding birds, engaging the public on conservation issues, and supporting volunteer teams. Ideal candidates will have experience with ecological projects, excellent communication skills, and a full UK driving licence. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with ecological experience and a community‑centred approach to fill a six‑month seasonal post as Field Officer, assisting our Project Officer in the delivery of “Plovers in Peril”. The post is based at RSPB Titchwell Marsh but the main site is a 4 km stretch of shingle beach between Snettisham and Heacham on the edge of The Wash.
This role will involve lone working, remote locations and flexible weekend, early‑morning and night working. The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising, depending on business needs at the end of the contract term.
