What you will do:

• Accept and take responsibility for referrals in respect of the Early Intervention team.
• Manage your own caseload effectively.
• Assess candidates for suitability for reablement programmes and create appropriate programmes.
• Recommend and assess equipment, adaptations, and Assistive Technology solutions.
• Maintain thorough and comprehensive documentation, in line with legal and service standards.
• Participate in peer clinical supervision groups for unqualified staff under leadership guidance.
• Provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management for individuals of all ages with various developmental needs.
• Stay informed on legislation and policies affecting Occupational Therapy practices.
• Respond to complex cases with specialist intervention plans aimed at reducing disabilities and enhancing independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and integrated equipment provision.
• Liaise with social workers, families, and other professionals to facilitate holistic treatment approaches.
• Conduct home assessments for adaptations, fostering solutions that help patients reach their fullest potential.
• Attend relevant conferences and meetings to discuss case progress and plans.
• Offer expert advice to service members for effective patient management.
• Ensure careful, regulatory-compliant handling of data and documentation.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Recent UK experience in occupational therapy, with prior NHS exposure.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
