Location: Lifford House, covering South Birmingham
Salary: £33.30 per hour

What you will do:

  • Lead and carry out Section 17 and Section 47 assessments, ensuring thorough understanding and responsiveness to the needs of children and families.
  • Engage positively with children and families, providing assistance, support, and interventions where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, other agencies, and professionals to safeguard children and ensure their best interests are met.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive case records, with a keen focus on detail and compliance.
  • Assist in developing strategies and interventions that meet the diverse needs of families.
  • Harmonise with the 5-week duty cycle, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently to keep pace with the team’s schedule.
  • Drive positive outcomes by participating in various meetings and maintaining a strong partnership with team members and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Proven experience as a qualified Social Worker within Social Services in the UK, particularly in conducting frontline assessments
  • Experience of working directly with children and their families
  • Proficiency in managing complex cases and making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
