Assistant Management Accountant
Job summary
A leading finance consultancy is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a 12-month contract in Richmond. The role involves profit and loss accounting, preparing accurate financial statements, and working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be part qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, with solid knowledge of reconciliations and strong Excel skills. This position requires on-site presence five days a week and offers up to £23 per hour via an umbrella company.
Qualifications
- Strong background in profit and loss accounting, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Proven experience preparing accurate initial P&L statements for multiple entities.
- Solid understanding of balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate cost accruals during month-end processes.
- Collaborate with Regional Accountants and cross-functional teams.
- Manage varied workload independently.

Education
My client in the Hospitality industry is looking for a strong and reliable Management Accountant to join their growing finance team for an initial 12 month Contract. This role is based in Richmond and is onsite 5 days per week.
- Strong background in profit and loss (P&L) accounting, ideally within the hospitality sector
- Proven experience preparing accurate initial P&L statements for multiple entities
- Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Ability to ensure timely and accurate cost accruals during month-end processes
- Confident working collaboratively with Regional Accountants and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas and pivot tables
- Experience using Sage or similar accounting software is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA is needed for this role.
