Job summary

A leading finance consultancy is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a 12-month contract in Richmond. The role involves profit and loss accounting, preparing accurate financial statements, and working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be part qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, with solid knowledge of reconciliations and strong Excel skills. This position requires on-site presence five days a week and offers up to £23 per hour via an umbrella company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience preparing accurate initial P&L statements for multiple entities.
• Solid understanding of balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Assistant Accountant - 12 Month Contract - Richmond (On-site) - Up to £23 per hour via an umbrella company

My client in the Hospitality industry is looking for a strong and reliable Management Accountant to join their growing finance team for an initial 12 month Contract. This role is based in Richmond and is onsite 5 days per week.

Key Skills needed :

• Strong background in profit and loss (P&L) accounting, ideally within the hospitality sector
• Proven experience preparing accurate initial P&L statements for multiple entities
• Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Ability to ensure timely and accurate cost accruals during month-end processes
• Confident working collaboratively with Regional Accountants and cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas and pivot tables
• Experience using Sage or similar accounting software is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA is needed for this role.
