Job summary
A professional recruitment firm in London is seeking an experienced Accountant. In this role, you will manage client accounts, oversee bookkeeping functions, and produce payrolls and statutory returns. If you have a strong background in accounting and client management, we encourage you to apply.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing client accounts.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes and tax issues.
- Experience in preparing end-of-year accounts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day management of client accounts.
- Manage bookkeeping functions and prepare accounts.
- Produce payrolls and submit statutory returns.

- Overseeing the day to day management of a mixed portfolio of small-medium sized client accounts
- Managing clients bookkeeping function and preparing accounts up to trial balance level
- Producing client weekly/monthly payrolls and producing monthly/annual PAYE returns
- Advising clients on accounting processes, business transactions, corporate finance and tax issues
- Preparing client end-of-year accounts and submitting statutory returns to Companies House
- Assisting with conducting annual audits, completing summaries and supporting junior team members
