Job Description
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including data entry and reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide support during audits and resolve queries as needed.
- Maintain organised financial documentation and filing systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to address financial queries and issues.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- Experience in basic accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable (Purchase Ledger).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
- Knowledge of VAT processes and compliance requirements.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a finance team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A desire to develop further within the accounting and finance field.
