Part Time Senior Accountant
Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a part-time Senior Accountant in Ramsgate. The role involves planning and preparing accounts, personal and corporation tax returns, and advising clients on accounting software like Xero and Sage. Candidates should be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in practice. This position offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £50,000 FTE based on experience, with options for part-time or full-time hours and additional benefits.

We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ramsgate. This is a varied general practice position which will offer valuable experience and exciting challenges. Our client is open to candidates looking to work 3 or 4 days a week. Our client is a well-established and market-leading firm of chartered accountants who provide a mixed accountancy service to a range of owner-managed business clients across Kent.
- Plan, prepare, and review accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT for a variety of clients
- Prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns
- Assist clients with their accounting software, including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
- Ensure work is being undertaken in the most efficient manner
- Provide ad hoc support to the partners
- Train and mentor trainees within the department
- Handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manner
- You will be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience.
- You will have 3-6 years experience within practice and have hands-on experience of preparing accounts and tax work for clients.
- £35,000 - £50,000 FTE dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
